One-piece propeller shafts, machined to drop in

A straight, correctly-sized shaft is the foundation of every drive train. We machine shafts from Aquamet 22 stainless, 316 stainless or manganese bronze — up to 6 metres in a single piece — with keyways, tapers, and shoulder fits to your specification.

Standard taper is 1:16 (Lloyds). Metric and imperial keyways are available. We also machine couplings, split or solid, as part of the same supply.

If the shaft is straight and the taper is good, we can re-polish and remachine coupling faces. A bent shaft is usually replaced.
