Anchor Winches
Service

The right winch, correctly sized, properly installed

Choosing an anchor winch is more than picking a model number. We size the winch to the anchor and chain, specify the right battery wiring, and advise on deck reinforcement, chain-locker depth and foot-switch location. For commercial vessels we can supply hydraulic winches as well as DC electric.

Spare parts (motor brushes, gypsies, drum liners) are held in stock for common models.

FAQs

Frequently asked

A conservative rule is 3× the combined weight of anchor plus chain for line pull capacity. We refine the number for your boat and anchorage habits.

Horizontal is simpler to install and service, but needs chain locker depth. Vertical takes less deck space but needs below-deck room for the motor.

Winch draw is high but brief. We spec battery and cable to carry the peak without voltage drop.

We ship nationwide. Fitting is coordinated through local marine electricians and shipwrights.
